Cappadocia, Turkey

We recently visited Cappadocia in Turkey, a region well-known for its impressive landscapes and cave cities. The highlight of the trip for me (despite being fearful of heights) was a balloon ride. I had to get up really early (before 4 o'clock), so that we could fly before the sun rose. It was awesome. Here are some impressions. For the landscape see Cappadocia, Turkey 2.

It sure looks a spectacular view. Not sure I'd feel at ease, crammed into those long baskets, to enjoy the ride. Though I'm sure it didn't feel as crowded as it looks.

It did feel crowded and there wasn't much room to move, but it was kind of comforting.
