Hello

I'm new in this forum. I search in this forum but I don't find something.
I'm new user with CFV-50 and Phocus and I have some little questions because I'm uncertain.

a) Is that right that metadata stored in XMP files ?
b) Is that right that modification in pictures are stored in XMP files ?
c) Is that right that to every stored picture have an additionally XMP file ?
I ask this because I have the folder Phocus Pictures with some pictures but not the same number ofView attachment 7192 XMP files.

Hi Jochen,
the xmp's including the Metadata e.g. Keywords.
More importent are the changes from the RAW-Converter. Adobe ARC or the Focus.
All Changes are protocolchanges. The Converters dont change the RAW Files.
The XMP are exist if you have make a change.

Hi Dieter

Thanks for feedback.
I don't understand Your answer right so I ask again, sorry.

My questions:

a) Is that right that metadata stored in XMP files ? Yes or No ?
b) Is that right that modification in pictures are stored in XMP files ? Yes or No ?
c) Is that right that to every stored picture have an additionally XMP file ? Yes or No ?
d) New question for the example above: I have 15 pictueres fff but only one xmp and I have 5 pictures fff but only one xmp.

Jochen

Hi Jochen,
to a) Yes and No. You have Data from the Camera there is stored at the FFF-File. All other Data are stores at this File if you used an Adobe Application.
b) Yes
c) every changed File has an XMP
d) same like c
is it possible that you are the Jochen (Spassig) from Hassi-Foto-Forum?

Hi Dieter.

Thanks for answer.
You write.
… to a) Yes and No. You have Data from the Camera there is stored at the FFF-File. All other Data are stores at this File if you used an Adobe Application ...

Clear, You mean time and aperture, for example are in 3FR and FFF.
Is that right?
Without editing a picture no XMP files exists ?

I have edit in one FFF picture the contrast but after that no XMP file exist.
I do this in Phocus.
Why ?
I'm sure that's my misunderstanding.

Jochen
