These are difficult to capture due to their color and shape. Also, I was sure I had switched to a lower ISO than this, but the Exif (and noise) proves otherwise…

As a frequent photographer of all white birds - like great egrets - I understand the challenges of getting the exposure correct with subjects like this. And I think you nailed it! (y)
 
Agree. The whites look pretty good on my screen. Didn't pixel peep for noise "cause, I just don't. :)
