The rooms in the Hudson are better suited for Hobbits. The whole room was a closet, and the bathroom so small you had to stand on the toilet to close the door. But the lighting effects they use as a distraction are really cool. This is the bathroom mirror.

Nicely framed. So that's what it looks like to be on the receiving end of someone's camera. But tell me, where did you get the left-handed Leica? :) BTW, you think the rooms in NY are small, try Paris.

One further observation--judging by the way the shelves are stocked, either you're staying there for a long time or you're traveling with a female companion.

As the comic said " that's no companion, that's my wife". We were there because she ran (and finished) the N.Y. Marathon.

Actually, the shelves were stocked with a lot of stuff they wanted you to buy (or use by mistake, and have to buy).

And yes, it seems N.Y. hotel designers are taking cues from their French counterparts, where I also had to stand on the toilet to close the bathroom door, and the elevator grudgingly accomidated 2 people, but only before dinner.

I'd forgotten to rate your photo previously. Congratulations to your wife on finishing the marathon. Where's the shot of her crossing the finish line?

There was no way to get to the finish line to take photos. This race is huge, and security was quite tight.
